Velvet Quicksand are Elias (Vocals, Guitar), Olli (Bass), and Rich (Drums). Playing ground-breaking Mediterranean rock/fusion, VQ are unique among Londons bands. They fuse a rich mixture of musical styles into an eclectic show, not to be missed.

12/12/05: Some new material coming... Velvet Quicksand visited Earthworks Studio in Barnet, London in October 2005, and we have also got some hot live material from several gigs this year (thanks Chris, Colin, Mel and Bruno!!), all mastered by Chris Barnett. We are on our way to make a new EP out of these tracks, drop us a line so we know to send you a copy once it's ready! Meanwhile, check out the new samples!
29/09/05: Two new London gigs lined up! Velvet Quicksand will play The Comedy, Piccadilly Circus on Tuesday 18 October, and dB's @ Imperial College Union, South Kensington on Tuesday 25 October. Please do not miss these shows - they are likely to be the last ones this year! Also Paul Donaldson, who you remember from our Glastonbury gigs, will join us on stage at both shows!
09/08/05: VQ is back from Cyprus! We played maybe our two best shows ever - with complete 2-hour sets in both gigs. Huge thanks to Alex, Markos, Martha, Ennalax staff and our Cypriot fans for everything! Click here for photo diary!
08/07/05: Velvet Quicksand gets international - we play, under our Greek name Kinoumeni Ammos, at CLUB ENNALAX in Nicosia, Cyprus on Monday 1 and Thursday 4 August!
08/07/05: Greetings from excellent Glastonbury 2005! Velvet Quicksand played FIVE gigs in total: Four shows with the whole band (with fantastic Paul Donaldson on keys and percussion), and one acoustic solo performance by Elias.
